Hi guys

SO have been colouring this little chick in today she's one of #slinkytart digi's

I'm going to be doing two of these one for each of my daughter who both love their books and reading.

Lee and I thought we were going to have a couple of days peace as Emm is staying over at her partners this week and Arry has gone camping with his. He went yesterday...... got a phone call today asking for us to go pick him up tomorrow as he really doesn't like it lol. it would have been the forst time in nearly 27 years that we had spent more than one day on our lonesomes . wasn't meant to happen lol 

Hi guys just thought I would put a picture up of my craft desk, while it tidy.

I got a new pink cutting mat today hence the tidy up but I've been working on getting the cubby's in some sort of order which they are now yay. The one above my comp has my oil pencils and spectrum nior pencils, just behind them are some spare promarkers. crafting cd's and all my glues that i use.

the second one across has all my gel pens. and the third has my ink pads note books and journals.

On my desk I've now made a little area for Ryry his got his little bucket whic holds all his own pens and pencils and a craft mat for easy clean up. and along the back of my desk i've got my cricut (which i should try to use ) , a little set of drawers which has random bits in plus my pliers, and my pen storage which has all my promarkers and flexmarkers in. I'm hoping for my birthday to get the full set of spectrum noir markers as I want to try and work them all in together when i'm colouring.

Sorry I've not been around in what seems like forever but with all the hospital visits and the chemo and radiotherapy I've not had alot of time for anything else.

Well the good news is the treatment has worked on the main tumour.

 I've got to go for an MRI soon to see how everything else down there is doing 

and whether it's worked on my lymph nodes too, 

so I'm keeps positive about it all and telling myself it has.

So today I've had a day off from ryry too so thought I'd have a bit of a colouring day.

I've coloured in the alchemist's chamber by make it crafty.

I don't colour buildings in very much, mainly because i never seem to get the colours right. 

But I fell in love with this one and thought now is a better time than any to have a go,

 and I'm really pleased with how it came out.

 It's coloured in with promarkers and a couple of

flexmarkers thrown in for good measure :D 

update on cancer and cross stitch i'm working on

HI Guys

Well what a week it's been for me up and down the hospital three times and we've had the builders in putting new heaters in .

So first off the hospital visits.. I had to have an MRI to see what's going on with the cancer, second visit was to try and take another biopsy. and the third visit was to meet the cancer team that's now looking after me.

They have found a tumour which as of my MRI was 4 cm, and the doctor told us I've got an aggressive form of cancer which they are going to  start getting me the right treatment asap. I've got to go for a P.E,T scan within the next couple of weeks,

Onto my crafting I'm STILL working on my cross stitch I'm well into the 3rd panel now and I've given myself a 18 day goal to get it finished because that's when i have my first op and I'd like to take a new project into hospital with me.

And this little fella my gorgeous grandson has now been here in the UK for a year this week.

I love this picture of him he was eating chocolate cake the other day :)

not a good new post

Hi guys

This isn't possibly the best of posts but I needed to get it off my chest.

Yesterday was possibly the worst day of my life after losing my mum.

I found out that I've got cervical cancer...

Now i don't want any OMG I'm so sorry or things like that

 I need all the good vibes in my life at the min.

It was a shock been told but think something deep down knew.

I went of a lletz (or leep if your in the states) last month.

and the doctor told me that he had taken a large biopsy .

that's how it was found.

But over the past few months I've been having problems anyways which i wont go into

as it's a little bit tmi 

So the plan now.

I've got to go for an mri within the next couple of weeks to see how far the cancer is.

and within the next month  I've got to have a full hysterectomy  which is a little scary 

and then we go from there thats all I know at the min.

anyway I just needed to get that off my chest  thank you for reading me waffle on :)

what a day

Hi guys just thought i would post up my makes and update on my cross stitch from yesterday.

I coloured in the simply Betty stamps new year Betty just got to put her onto a card now.

I got a little bit more of my cross stitch done . doesn't look alot but the constant changing of colours is why :)

And yesterday I had a little but of me and baba boo time. we sat and watched some silly songs and he had one little chocolate this is the mess he made. but it makes me smile :D

anyways some bad news for me today.

I went for a smear test on the 29th DEC and got a letter today saying I've got to go for a colposcopy  they've got me an appointment for next week as I've got high grade dyskaryosis. 

little bit of a shock for me as i knew something was wrong but i was hoping that it was nothing, but me and Lee have spoken about it and we'll deal with the problems as they come I can't sit here feeling sorry for myself about it  it's just another thing thrown at us  (do wish these things would stop throwing themselves at us now though) i hope i don't sound to harsh on myself about this and that I'm brushing it off, because I'm not inside I'm scared to death. but i think dealing with my back problems and stress for the past 8 years I've taught myself to just sit and take the problems as they come. 

anyways enough of me going on I'm going to sit and do a little more of my cross stitch as I've got some peace and quiet for a while this evening Lee's got to go for an MRI on his spine for the Dr's to decide what path they are going to take with him there as been talks of him having an op on his spine to take the pressure off the nerves.

just a quick update on my panel I've finished the first one yay :D 

sorry the pic is a little out of focus my phone really didn't want to play when i took the photo.

Anyways plans for today.

I'm going to finish a card using the free digi from simply Betty stamps, it's all coloured up just need to put it on a card now.

And I'm going to start work on the next panel of my cross stitch I'm going for the right side of it as that has less stitches so will be able to get that done and get onto the other one quite quickly.

Lee's anniversary prezzies came today too. (I'm on a role)

I got him a new star wars chess set (one that he hasn't got) and a Jedi manual

(omg he is such a geek but his my geek lol)

on the 13th we'll have been married 25 years so wanted to get him something special and been married to a huge star wars fan thought that would be the perfect gift for him.

And i haven't got my baba boo (grandson) here again today my pain levels have been really bad for the past three days which is getting me down a little but thought if i throw myself into my crafts it will stop me getting down. 

anyways enough for the moment I'll pop a picture of my finished card and progress on my stitching later tonight or tomorrow morning :)

cross stitch and my new years resolution

Hi guys.

Just thought I would post a picture of the cross stitch I'm working on at the min.

I've nearly completed the first panel of this one it's the centre one of three.

I don't normally make new years resolutions , but this year I have decided that 

I'm going to make time every day to be able to craft.

I lost my mojo last year and haven't really done much crafting either card making 

or cross stitching.

I think i made this decision because over the past few months

 i've been having a few health problems on top of my chronic pain.

and to stop myself going into a deep depression.

I'm also going to post on here everything i make or updates on my cross stitch so you

can watch it grow :) 

any way enough of me going on

Hi all I know it's been a long time since  I've been able to put anything on here but having my little man ryry here now has taken up alot of my time.

Over the past week I've been suffering terribly with my panic/anxiety attacks. and have been trying to get my mind focused and away from them  when i saw betty over at simply betty's fan page on facebook was having a challenge i thought this would be good for me to do. so here's my card for the challenge the stamp can be bought from simply betty's shop  (anyone that hasn't already go and have a look about she has loads of fab ones there ) also pop over and join on the betty's fan page too :) 

I've coloured this one in using pro markers bat queen Betty herself is mainly greys and black except for her hair tail eyes and lips. i done it like that so they would just pop. the flames are a mix of mandarin canary and primrose and the background behind her is just a blue mix.

 I've then mounted her onto a dark snowflake backing paper added a couple of corner peeloffs and made some roses for the bottom of the card

Hi guys OMG sorry I'm soooooo late in getting this up this month but I've had one hell of a month getting my daughter Beth her hubby emden and our grandson ryry home from the states. ( there is a long story to that but i'm not going into that now all i will say is I've got a very happy family with us now and away from all the mental abuse that they were getting)

ANY WAYS on to my card I've only managed to finish one this month the others are all a work in progress and I'll pop them up as soon as they are finished.

so the simply Betty bunny, I've gone with the red and black theme with her the feathers in the corner also has a few strings of gold beading. i just wanted something simple this time with her but couldn't go without the bling lol

so today I've been working on this note book.

I've used the sbs cupid betty, and gone for the just flashes of colour here and there.

The wings are made from the tim holtz embossing folder and i've distressed them just to make them pop.

The pale pink flowers i've made from die cut flowers and layered them. and finished it off with going round with the white hand made paper flowers.

This is the project I'm going to enter into the simply betty fan page challenge as i'm really happy with how it came out.

my son made these books up at work for me and they are just plain white fronts

so i have a nice blank canvas to work on.

Hi guys sorry it's been a while since i last posted anything we've just had so much going on lately.

As some of you know Beth, Emden and Ry are coming back to the UK. they had planned to later this year anyway but Emdens mum Cheryl was shot just over a month ago and Beth doesn't feel safe raising her son over there any more.

It was our 24th wedding anniversary on Monday (i know i know I'd'd have got less for murder lol)

but it turned out to be the worst anniversary ever. Lee's mum died so we went round to say our good byes and spent time with lee's dad.

the card below is the card I made for Ron. just something very simple and sweet. i didn't want to go down the line of crosses or the hands of god.

so this week has been a week of nipping round both the dads to make sure they are ok (my own mum past 9 years ago 3 days before Christmas) and my dad still has his ups and downs.

Anyway today...

I'm not goinge out the house all this standing up has made my joints in my hips and spine very sore so I decided that i was going to have a sort out on my craft desk.... like that's happened, instead I done the front to my new promarker blends book. I've you the sbs stamp betty antoinette, have I said before I love bettys stamps she is so talented. I'm not sure where i got the backing paper from think it was from a kit fro, granny enchanted blog spot. and I've just finished it off with teh blue peel off border and a few stars.

the book itself is from re-create sltd where my son jay works. 

so I'm now off to try and sort my desk out lol

Hi guys, sorry I've not posted for a little while but I've been more preoccupied with Beth and emden,

we are all working together to get them and Ryry over here to the UK next month. Some already knew they were coming here next year, but Emden's mother was shot out the front of the house where beth lives so none of them feel safe and it's worse having a new baby in the house with that thought.

Sooooooo anyway today I lost my voice (caught a cold off Emma) so I've been working on this card. it's Betty boom by simply Betty stamps. as everyone knows i love her digi's.

This one is for the monthly challenge. i've coloured her in using promarkers. the box i gave the fire look colour to go with the TNT :) and blinged it up  for Christmas. the flowers in the corners are rolled handmade flowers they are made from an old book and after i cut the rounds out i coloured them in red and just finished them off with some curling ribbon.

won a challenge with simply betty stamps.
